My AFS Ecuador Exchange

WHAT IS AFS EXCTUALLY?

AFS Intercultural Programs is an international exchange organization that offers young people the opportunity to praise a different culture for a period of three months to a year. AFS was founded in 1914 and is active in some fifty countries around the world.

This can be done by following a year of secondary education, or by working as a volunteer in a social, cultural or ecological project. Always the intercultural experience and is paramount in the local. For that reason, the guest students have to stay with a host family.

AFS is the largest exchange organization for young people worldwide. Every year there are about 12,000 participants for the programs that AFS offers. To support and support these young people, AFS relies on more than 50,000 local volunteers, spread across all AFS partner countries. This also makes AFS one of the voluntary organizations in the world.
